Cuz the boyz in the hood..... 4/04/06

Linsey was trying to post this picture in the comments of my last post, but it just wasn't working. So I thought I'd throw it up here.......just adding proof that Braden and Tyler are each a bit of a "Ladies' Man" (sans the Courvoisier) . I mean, really, how many 3 year old boys can say they were 'thisclose' to a super model (now that I think of it, how many 30 year old boys can say that)?

One hot summer afternoon in 2003, Linsey, her sister Emily, and I were doing a little mall shopping......when Linsey's keen celebrity-sense began tingling. She quickly located the celebrity....Angie Everhart. We subtly followed her around the mall for a good 20 - 30 minutes, before we really nicely asked her if she would take a picture with the boys (Linsey just happened to have her camera with her.......seriously, the girl would make a killer papparazzi). Angie agreed to the picture and was really pretty nice about it (though I think she was a bit put out that we were the only ones in the whole mall who recognized and approached her).

If the boys weren't so naturally laid back, I am sure they would have been thoroughly confused. I mean, don't we always tell them to stay away from strangers? Then we end up chasing one through the mall, and then flinging them at her saying "Get closer, that's it.....put your arm around her, ok smile". Crazy Moms!! But like Linsey said.....one day they will so appreciate us for that!

By the way, the title of this post came from hearing my husband sing Dynamite Hacks'version of 'Boyz in the Hood' way too many times! If you haven't heard it yet, you should really check it out. It takes you back to the old school with out having toactually listen to gangsta rap again.
